About Fykiada Retreats

Fykiada Retreats is a company operating as a sole proprietorship under the company name “MARTINOU ANNA” established and existing under the laws of Greece. Its principal place of business is Athens, Greece.

 

Payment Policy

  • To reserve a spot on a Fykiada Retreat, a non-refundable booking fee of six hundred Euros (600 €) is required.

  • The full payment (due amount) can be paid at once or in two (2) instalments.

  • The 1st instalment, 50% of the due amount, is to be paid no later than ninety (90) days prior to the retreat start date

  • The 2nd instalment (remaining 50%) is due sixty (60) days prior to the retreat start date.

The retreat prices are charged per person and DO NOT include flights.

 

Guest Cancellation Policy

Depending on when you cancel, cancellation fees may apply.

  • The six hundred Euros (600 €) booking fee is non refundable.

  • If cancellation takes place more than forty five (45) days prior to retreat start date, then any payments made will be refunded minus your 600€ deposit.

  • If cancellation takes place less than forty five (45) days prior to the retreat start date, then 100% of your trip price will be forfeited.

Due to our need to commit to accommodation and other arrangements in advance, exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason.

We do not offer credit for arriving late or leaving early.

Fykiada Retreats Cancellation Policy

Fykiada Retreats always caters for the best of its guests and canceling a retreat will always be the very last option. However, if Fykiada Retreats must cancel a scheduled retreat due to low participation, you’re entitled to transfer your full payment to another scheduled retreat or request a refund of your payment.

Fykiada Retreats is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled retreat, such as other accommodation, airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.

 

Force Majeure

Fykiada Retreats shall not be responsible for not fulfilling its contractual obligations to the extent that the failure to fulfill is due to events outside its control, that is, force majeure events such as a pandemic, acts of God, fire, flood, cancellation of flights or/and prohibition of sailing due to adverse weather conditions, war, acts of terrorism, riot, civil commotion, governmental actions (excluding regulatory change), labour disputes, and any similar events. In such force majeure events, no refund shall be granted and all payments will be credited in the form of a voucher* valid for one (1) year from the start date of the canceled retreat.

Reservation of Rights

Fykiada Retreats reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary to our retreats.

  • We hold the right to replace the retreat teacher (yoga teacher) in case of illness, sickness or any other emergency or force majeure reason and there is no refund in this case.

  • We hold the right to change the premises (villa - venue) that the retreat takes place due to any emergency circumstances into an equal quality premise.

  • To ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, we reserve the right to refuse service or deny entry if we reasonably believe it is in the best interest of the group. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

 

Travel Insurance

Guests must have adequate travel insurance to cover the retreat activities.

Please note, even if you have private health insurance in Greece or your respective Country of residence, it is unlikely that this insurance will cover overseas trips such as the retreats offered by Fykiada Retreats.

It is your responsibility to organize suitable travel and health insurance. Although we strongly encourage you to do so, you acknowledge that Fykiada Retreats is not in the business of providing insurance products and cannot be held liable if your failure to arrange suitable insurance coverage leaves you exposed, medically, financially or otherwise.

 

Passports, Visas and Documents

It is the responsibility of each participant to obtain a valid passport, visa(s) and necessary certificates for any country to be visited in connection with a Fykiada Retreat.

 

General Waiver – Limitation of Liability

You acknowledge that during a retreat you participate voluntarily in any and all activities arranged by the retreat hosts, and insofar as legally permissible, surrender your right to any cause of action against Fykiada Retreats arising from any loss or damage to person or property that occurs during a retreat.

You hereby agree to be responsible for your own welfare and accept any and all risks of delay, unanticipated events, inconvenience, illness, injury, emotional trauma or death.

You hereby certify that you are physically fit and have not been advised to not participate, by any means or in any manner, in any such activity arranged by the retreat hosts by a qualified medical professional. You hereby certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude your participation in any and all activities arranged by the retreat hosts.

You hereby waive, release and discharge from and against any and all liability from your participation in the trip and  in any and all activities arranged by the retreat hosts, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of Fykiada Retreats and/or its employees and/or its collaborators and/or its subcontractors, for your death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to you including your trip to and from activities arranged by the retreat hosts,

You agree that this release shall be legally binding upon you personally and all members of your family.

COVID-19 Waiver

By joining one of our retreats, you agree to practice good hygiene, follow the social distancing rules, comply with all of the necessary preventive hygiene measures according to local guidance and abide by the official general public health safety guidelines in accordance with the National Public Health Organization (NPHO) under the supervision of the Minister of Health guidelines, currently in force. The guest also agrees to take all the necessary precautions & measures before travelling to Greece (such as Covid 19 test, vaccination et al) according to the international travel guidelines.

COVID-19 Updates: As of the 19th April 2021, Greece has lifted quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travelers and those who have a negative PCR test from the following countries: EU, UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Rwanda, Singapore, Israel, Serbia and UAE. The government has announced that as of the 14th May 2021 more local restrictions will be lifted with restaurants and stores opening up for the summer season. Safety protocols including wearing masks and social distancing will remain in place.

Photo / Video Release Form

You hereby grant to Fykiada Retreats the right and permission to use photographic material & video in which you are featured and are taken during the course of the retreat. Fykiada Retreats holds the right to use / republish / copyright, etc. this material for advertising and promotional purposes. You hereby release and discharge Fykiada Retreats from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs and video footage, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or invasion of privacy.

Changes to our Terms & Conditions

We keep the present Terms and Conditions under regular review and we reserve the right to amend or update the present Terms and Conditions at any time. The effective date is displayed hereunder. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. To keep you informed of any changes to the present Terms and Conditions, we will notify you by prominently posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on our website at www.fykiada.com.

 

Disputes & Applicable Law

Fykiada Retreats and Guests shall make every effort, so that any difference, dispute or disagreement that may arise during the conclusion, interpretation and execution of the present Terms & Conditions, as well as claims related to them, is resolved out of court, with negotiations in a spirit of good faith within reasonable time after the date of the written expression of the disagreement by any of the parties.

If a difference is not resolved in this way, competent for its judicial resolution shall be the Courts of Athens, Greece exclusively, which shall decide on any trials regarding the execution and the Greek law shall apply.

 

By booking into a retreat you hereby certify that you have read and fully understood the present Terms & Conditions, and you are fully aware that there is a release of liability included, you accept all Terms & Conditions and you agree of your own free will to all Terms & Conditions and applicable policies above. If you do not agree to the aforementioned Terms & Conditions, you are not permitted to participate in any Fykiada Retreats activity.
